National Cadet Core (NCC)

NCC cadets NCC, the second line of defense, started in 1967 with 56 students. This strength has been increased up to 250 from 1967 to 1971. In 1971 NCC was reorganized and strength has been decreased to 107. Since 1967 4400 students have been trained in NCC.

We have celebrated NCC silver Jubilee on 14 February 1992. Several camps were organized at state and national level and students attended the same since 1967. The details of camps are as follows:

2004-08

47, Maharshtra Battalion, Yavatmal and NCC group Head quarter Amravati were organized National Level NCC camp from 24 August to 04 September 2004 at G S Gawande College Campus. Total 672 cadets participated in this camp from different states of India. .

NCC Cadets from G S Gawande college helps to Pulse Polio National Program.
NCC cadets collected foods. money and other material for Tamilnadu people who were found in natural disaster Sunami earth quake.
10 NCC cadets got the job in Indian Army and they are working well in their job.
100% result in C certificate Examination which was held in Feb. 2005 at Amravati.
In 2005-06, NCC cadets participated in different camps such as Para sailing Camp, Akola, Regular Army attach Camp, Kamthee, National Integration camp, Rajsthan, All India Shooting Championship of G V Malvankar, Pune, Thal Sena Camp, Amravati, Republic Day Camp, Akola. NCC cadets got Best District Team Award at Kamthee and Mr Amol Haribhau Bichhewar was leader of the team. Cadet Mr Pradip Bhimrao Kamble got Best Shooter Award at Pune.
100% result in C certificate Examination which was held in Feb. 2006 at Amravati.
In 2006-07, The NCC cadets participated in different national level camps those are NIC camp, Bhihar, Trekking and Hacking Camp Uttaranchal, RTTC Gwalher, TSC Pune,
In 2006, some villages were affected due to heavy rain in Umarkhed area. NCC cadets helps them to clean Roads, schools and helps to Security Team to brought the people at safe location who were affected due to flood.
In 2006-07, a State Level camp was organized at College campus from 16 May 2007 to 27 may 2007. Total 550 cadets participated in this camp from different district of Maharshtra State.
In 2007-08, Mr Rajkumar Devanand Patil was selected for Republic Day Pared at Delhi. He participated in pared and got color coat. In this session total 6 cadets got job in Indian Army. From 2002-2008 total 39 cadet joined Indian Army and they are doing well in their job.
