Sports Facilities
Establishment of Sports for Senior College
The establishment of Sports faculty at G.S.G. College was done in the year 1966. The first lecturer who was appointed at that time for Sports Faculty was Prof. Gazulla (B.A, D.P.Ed) . He served this organisation for 2 years from 1967 to 1968. The sports which were held at that time were CRICKET, KABADDI, VOLLYBALL, BADMINTON, FOOTBALL, TABLE-TENNIS, ATHLETICS. Prof. Gazulla was expert of FOOTBALL.
From the year 1968 to 1970 Prof. V. S. Jadhao(B.A, D.P.Ed) was appointed as a Sports Teacher. After him Shri. G. P. Jatale(C.P.Ed) was appointed as an Incharge of Sports Faculty from the year 1970 to 1971. From the year 1971 till now Prof. P. S. Batewar (M.A, D.P.Ed) is serving for this Sports Faculty.
Establishment of Sports for Junior College
Sports for Junior College was started from the year 1982. The sports held were CRICKET, KABADDI, VOLLYBALL, BADMINTON, FOOTBALL, TABLE-TENNIS, ATHLETICS. The Sports teacher for the first time was Shri. S. B. Singam (B.A, M.P.Ed). He served this college for 2 years from 1982 to 1990. After Prof. Singam, Prof. S. R. Deshmukh (M.A, M.P.Ed) was appointed as Junior Sports Teacher, still now he is looking after the Junior Sports. He joined this organisation in year 1990.
Playing Grounds
The college is having a very good infrastructure for Sports. We have a Big Lawn Tennis Court, Big Cricket, FootBall Ground, Court for Volly Ball, Ground for Hand Ball, and Atheletics ground.
Kabbadi
Intercollegiate Kabbadi Tournament was organized from 9th Sept. 2007 to 13th Sept. 2007.
23 Colleges from zone-D were participated in this tournament. Intercollegiate Lawn Tennis Tournament was organized from 1st December to 3rd December 2007. 14 colleges from Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University participated in this tournament.
Nitin Chavhan, student of B. Sc. -II and Sunil Potphade B. Sc-I are selected for inter university tournament held at Udaypur (Rajasthan) in Dec. -2007. Mr. S A Gavhankar a student of 12th also has been selected for Lown Tennis Tournament at state level. This is the fifth consecutive year the college retains the championship.
Also Intercollegiate Cricket Tournament & Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament was organized.
